The Arts, Recreation and Parks Commission is a seven-member citizen volunteer commission that serves in an advisory capacity to the Wenatchee City Council. The primary functions of the Commission are to: -Review and make recommendations concerning recreation program offerings of the City. -Oversee the City’s art collection and comprehensive arts program. -Provide recommendations regarding the acquisition, development and maintenance of park areas. -Serve as the City Forestry Board and oversee the Urban Forestry Program. -Provide advice and make recommendations concerning the Wenatchee Cemetery. -Review and make recommendations regarding the implementation of the City Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan. -Provide advice and make recommendations concerning the Wenatchee Community Center. -Review art, recreation and park related proposals. -Complete regular reviews of fees and charges for services. Arts, Recreation and Parks Commission regular meetings are scheduled for the third Tuesday of each month at the Public Services Center Lower Level Training Room - 1350 McKittrick Street. Meetings begin at 4:00 PM and generally last one hour. Meetings and agenda packets are contained on the City Calendar page.
